It's been ten grueling years in the making but Sade's throng of dedicated fans can finally look forward to a new album from the soulful songstress. Sony Records announced this week that Sade and her band would release their 6th album 'Soldier of Love' in 2010. The album is the follow up to 2000's 'Lovers Rock,' which sold 3,881,000 copies in the U.S. alone.

After such an extensive delay between releases, news of the upcoming album sent fans reeling when it was announced that the group had convened to begin recording in the UK back in June. According to a few tidbits, they remained at work in the studio throughout October putting final touches on the new LP.

Sade Adu and her band members, Andrew Hale, Paul Spencer Denmann and Stuart Matthewman have seen each of their five previous albums enter the Top 10 on the Billboard Top 200 chart. During their twenty-five year career span, the group has sold over 50 million records worldwide, thanks to some of their biggest hits which include 'Smooth Operator,' and 'No Ordinary Love.'

'Soldier of Love' will officially be released on Feb. 8, 2010.
