RZA gave a pretty bizarre interview when he went on The Talkhouse podcast with recent collaborator Paul Banks, who he just released a project with under the name Banks & Steelz called Anything But Words. RZA talked music, film, politics and complimented Donald Trump?

“To me, I don’t hear the ego,” he says of Trump in the interview. “I’m like, ‘That’s New York, man.’ You could go to any pizzeria and talk to a guy like that, and you’re going to get the same thing!“

He also talked about Fox News, saying "they keep it gully!”

RZA went on to talk more politics, specifically mentioning the president of the Philippines, Rodrigo Duterte and the comments he recently made about President Obama.

"Don’t you ever get the gall in your mouth and heart to call the President of The United States the son of a whore," RZA said. "Don’t never do that, kid. Come to my neighborhood, come to Staten Island with that"

Continuing with his political observations, RZA then discussed China's opium drug wars, seemingly endorsing the state violence currently being used in the so-called war.

“Sometimes you gotta amputate,” he said.

All in all, the interview was kind of strange, except when he was talking about music (he shared how he used the SP-1200 on Method Man's "Bring the Pain" and also discussed hardware vs. software).
