Run the Jewels Spit Gritty Bars on DJ Shadow-Produced ‘Nobody Speak’

Run the Jewels are back with a stellar DJ Shadow-produced track called "Nobody Speak." Needless to say, the song is dope -- especially since Killer Mike and El-P spits some nasty bars on it.

"I am crack / I ain't lying / Kick a lion in his crack / I'm the s--- / I will fall off in your crib /  Take a s--- / Pet your momma on the booty / kick your do / F--- your bitch / Fat boy dressed up like he's Santa and took pictures with your kids," raps Killer Mike.

El-P follows up with some slick rhymes as well. "We the best / We will cut a frowny face in your chest, little wench / I'm unmentionably fresh, I'm a mensch, get correct / I will walk into a court while it wrecks, screaming "Yes! / I am guilty motherf------, I am death," he spits.

The pairing between DJ Shadow's head nodding-beat and Run The Jewels' flow was no accident, according to the veteran turntablist. 

"Occasionally, I make a beat that demands a specific vocal treatment and attitude," he told Rolling Stone. "In the case of 'Nobody Speak,' I wasn't going to settle for anyone other than Run The Jewels; in my mind, it was them or no one. Fortunately, they agreed, and they took the track to a place I could never get to on my own. That's the definition of a rewarding collaboration."

Fans are waiting with bated breath for Run The Jewels 3 to release their third effort, but this track will certainly suffice for now. Listeners can snag the track when they pre-order DJ Shadow's project, The Mountain Will Fall . The full album arrives on June 24.
