Up until now, Roscoe Dash has been an assist man. He's lent track-making vocals to hits by such artists as Waka Flocka ('No Hands') and Big Sean ('Marvin & Chardonnay'), but he's talked in recent months about wanting to step out front and become a marquee performer.

Toward that end, the 21-year-old Atlanta rapper will release a new EP, 'J.U.I.C.E.,' on Dec. 20. Featuring the hit single 'Good Good Night,' as well as guest spots from Kanye West, Big Sean, J. Cole, Meek Mills, French Montana and Wale, among others, the collection seems designed to catapult Dash into the big league.

Roscoe's ambition is also evident in the title, an acronym for what may well have become his personal mantra: "Just understand I control everything."

The new songs have been in the works for some time, and speaking with The BoomBox earlier this year, the MC explained his new musical approach.

"It's two steps above what I did last time, my whole thing is to outdo myself every time," he said. "The most important thing is to be positive and to know that different sells. Different is what's in right now."
