Robin Thicke just scored his first No. 1 single on the Billboard Hot 100 chart for "Blurred Lines."

This comes six albums into his decade-long career, surprising given how successful he has been thus far. "Blurred Lines," which was produced by Pharrell Williams and also features him and T.I., has received some unorthodox publicity thanks in part to a NSFW version of the accompanying music video, which was originally taken down due to the use of nudity.

The song has also been used in a prominent (albeit fairly bizarre) commercial for the Beats Pill speaker line.

"Blurred Lines" usurps Macklemore and Ryan Lewis' single "Can't Hold Us" atop the charts.

Thicke's sixth album, also titled Blurred Lines, is slated for a July 6 release.
