R&B crooner Robin Thicke was arrested for marijuana possession early Friday afternoon (Feb. 17) in New York City.

The New York Daily News reports that the 'Love After War' singer was seated inside a Cadillac Escalade near 3rd Ave. and 21st St. Officers saw him smoking a marijuana joint in the front seat of the vehicle and took him into custody as a result.

"He wasn't driving," a police source said. "He was sitting in the car. He was arrested and a small amount of marijuana was recovered on him."

Thicke, who is married to actress Paula Patton, released his fifth studio album, 'Love After War,' in December.
