Rihanna’s Dad Confirms Chris Brown Split

After much speculation, Chris Brown's Facebook update and celebrity commentary, Rihanna's dad, Robert Fenty, is speaking out about the alleged fight and confirms that the young couple are officially over.

According to reports, Rihanna returned to her native Barbados on Feb. 12 to be with her family. "The relationship is over and I am pleased. She doesn't want to speak to Chris. She is being very brave about things and said that she will be back on stage performing soon."

Fenty went on to confirm that Rihanna was left with contusions and bite marks following an alleged fight between the 20-year-old pop/R&B diva and 19-year-old boyfriend Brown. "There is some bruising. She will be all right. I think so," Fenty told People.

Brown was arrested and booked for making criminal threats, but posted $50,000 bail last week. He's currently under investigation for alleged domestic violence felony battery.

Rihanna has yet to release a public statement since last week's incident, but her grandmother and reps have issued varied statements regarding the incident. "At some point, she will speak out. I hope she will stand up for women all over the world," her father added.
