Rihanna is certainly putting in “Work.” The R&B superstar totally slays the new cover of Vogue magazine’s April 2016 issue. Not only that, in her cover story, she discusses her latest album, Anti, and those pesky Beyonce rivalry rumors.

But let’s talk about the cover first. RiRi looks dazzling in her shimmery, colorful sheer-and-sequined gown designed by Tom Ford. The mag’s tagline says it all: “It’s Rihanna’s World.”

In the lengthy feature, Rihanna talks about her multiple ventures; launching her own imprint, Westbury Road Entertainment, and dropping her latest effort, Anti. When asked about the pop direction of the album, Rihanna admits that pop music is getting boring but adds that she feels it's time for her to earn some accolades on the pop charts as well.

"It might not be some automatic record that will be Top 40," she explains. "But I felt like I earned the right to do that now."

The "Work" singer also discusses her new passion for fashion. Citing iconic models Naomi Campbell and Cindy Crawford as her muses, she says that some of her fashion ideas were inspired by '90s-era music artists like Mary J. Blige, Lil Kim and Gwen Stefani.

“All my favorite artists and fashion icons and models are from the nineties,” she says. “Everybody was just so fearless.”

As for the rumor that she and Beyonce have a rivalry, the 28-year-old singer blames the internet for conjuring up a beef between them.

“Here’s the deal. They just get so excited to feast on something that’s negative," she explains. "Something that’s competitive. Something that’s, you know, a rivalry. And that’s just not what I wake up to. Because I can only do me. And nobody else is going to be able to do that.”
