Several rappers and singers went on social media today (May 25) to salute U.S. servicemen and women in observance of Memorial Day. Many of the tweets and Instagram posts honor the brave men and women in the military as well as the fallen soldiers.

Rihanna posted a touching photo on her Instagram page of a widow who brought her newborn baby to the gravesite of her beloved soldier. Fellow R&B singer Kelly Rowland went on Twitter and tweeted out, "Today & always, we honor and remember all who have paid the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country."

Rappers Pitbull, Soulja Boy, MC Hammer and Russell Simmons went on Twitter as well to honor servicemen and women in the military.

"Today, let us honor the men and women who gave the ultimate sacrifice. Where would we be without you? #Heroes," wrote Simmons. "Happy Memorial Day! Thank you to all of our country's heroes," tweeted Pitbull.

Meanwhile, rapper Juicy J is celebrating Memorial Day in a unique way. After being hospitalized for exhaustion in San Francisco, Calif., the Memphis rhymer plans to smoke one for the troops in Seattle. "I'll be in Seattle today let me know what's the best dispensary. I got 3 stacks I wanna spend. Happy Memorial Day," he tweeted.
