Rihanna Privately Helps Gay Fan Come Out of the Closet

Rihanna has taken her cool to another level with her recent encouragement to a fan who's been struggling to come out as a gay man.

The 28-year-old performer went on Twitter to dole out compassionate advice in a private exchange, and since then, the gay fan (who wishes to remain anonymous) has been slowly coming out to friends and family, with hopes to be completely out of the closet by July when he'll meet Ri-Ri for the first time during her Anti World Tour.

"I'm so proud of you!" Rihanna wrote in one heartfelt exchange. "I'm glad to see you finally happy with yourself!! Being who you are is the only way."

The fan told Buzzfeed that he's been ashamed to come out as a black man but the singer's advice has helped him realize that it's okay to be who he is, and he has nothing to be ashamed of.

It's awesome to see Rihanna take the time out of her busy schedule to help a fan make a serious life-changing decision.
