Rihanna Hair Fiasco: $24,000 for Singer to Repair Damaged Tresses

With chart-topping albums like her sixth LP, 'Talk That Talk,' and endorsement deals with design houses like Armani, Rihanna can afford the recent splurge of $24,000 she spent to repair her damaged hair.

The NY Post reports that the 24-year-old 'Birthday Cake' creator was in London enjoying some downtime at her hotel, where she used a steam room and sauna, when she experienced an unexpected hair fail. As a result of her dip in the heated pool, the Bajan songstress' tresses were an extreme mess.

"When she got out, her hair was tangled and matted," a source revealed. "She slapped a load of conditioner on but it didn't get through the mass."

RiRi was scheduled to appear on a national talk show the next day, and immediately called her hairstylist Ursula Stephen for help. She flew Stephen first class from Los Angeles to London because she did not want to visit a local hair salon or take chances with a hairdresser she wasn't familiar with.

Paparazzi snapped photos of the singer hiding her hair with a black fitted cap emblazoned with the words "Dream Team" on it as she left London's Corinthia hotel Wednesday.

"Rihanna shoved a hat on to go to the studios," the source added. "She was fine when she knew Ursula was on her way.
