Rihanna is set to star in a self-titled upcoming documentary about her life and music career.

The proposed doc is being helmed by filmmaker Peter Berg, who directed RiRi in her first major acting role in the 2012 film, Battleship.

According to the director's Film 45 company, the film will offer an unfiltered look in her life as a businesswoman, artist, humanitarian and pop culture trendsetter.

The film's synpososis reads:

Follow this true international superstar as she navigates life as an artist, businesswoman, and humanitarian, while contending with the inherent pressure of artistic freedom. Peter Berg’s Rihanna is an unfiltered look into Rihanna's life and how she's ascended to become a global icon, providing a glimpse into the evolution of one of the world’s most well-known pop artists."

News of Rihanna's documentary first surfaced in 2015 when Deadline reported that it was being dubbed a "contemporary take on the 1967 Bob Dylan rock doc Don't Look Back."

The Rihanna documentary will be the first project from Berg's new non-scripted production company Film 45. No release date has been set for the film.
