Rihanna, Chris Brown Start to Follow Each Other on Twitter
Rihanna and Chris Brown have officially gotten back together, on Twitter. The former exes are now following each other on the social networking site, and the public doesn't seem to be taking it too well.
One of Rihanna's 5 million Twitter followers warned that her decision to follow Brown set a bad example. "I never thought you would go back to him! You better not, its your life but you do have ppl that look up to you. e.g young girls," wrote one of her followers. Rihanna hit back, downplaying her decision to follow Brown on the site, telling the fan, and everybody else, that her choice is no big deal. "Its f---in twitter, not the alter! calm down," she wrote before later apologizing to the fan for her tone.
In February, the 'S &M' singer lifted the protective order against Brown, which allows him to be in the same vicinity as RiRi for work purposes. According to the terms of his probation, Brown is permitted to be near his ex so long as he promises not to "harass, annoy or molest her."
Brown attacked Rihanna back in 2009, after a pre-Grammy party. He later turned himself in to authorities, and while the two reconciled briefly following the beating, they have since gone their separate ways. As of this year, Brown has completed the terms of his five-year probation sentence, which included community labor and attending a domestic violence awareness course.
The next time that Rihanna and Brown will be in the same vicinity is at this year's Billboard Music Awards where they are both nominated. The show airs live on ABC Sunday, May 22 at 8:00PM EST.
