Chris Brown and Rihanna have entreated fans and the media to stop creating bringing up their troubled past.

Over the weekend, a Rihanna fan tweeted to Barbados-born singer, begging her to stop talking about her rocky relationship with ex-boyfriend Chris Bown, which ended her violent assault on February 2009.

"AGREED! People won't stop asking about it! It's f---in' annoying! Nobody wants to relive that, but some ppl can't respect that!" Rihanna tweeted in response to her fan's request. "I get it. They wanna raise awareness to young girls! But it ends up just making me look bitter, pitiful, spiteful and angry!"

Although Brown regained the public's good graces with his emotional Michael Jackson tribute at the recent BET Awards and Rihanna has moved on romantically, many of their fans apparently still have not. "Y'all starting to sound extremely childish! #teambreezy and #rihannanavy. It's pointless," Brown tweeted to their fan clubs. "Love team breezy & thank you rihannanavy for supporting ya girl."

The singers have yet to publicly communicate. Rihanna's 'Loud' is in stores now.
