After six years behind bars, Remy Ma is finally set to be released from jail next week. Calling from Bedford Hills Correctional Facility, the Bronx rapper jumped on the horn with Angie Martinez at her new home of Power 105.1 yesterday (July 21) to talk about her upcoming release and to reflect on her time in the pen.

"In a lot of ways, I'm the same. A lot of people are like, 'Oh my God, she hasn't changed,'" she joked, before admitting that prison has allowed her to mature in many different ways. "I grew up a lot, I look at things a lot differently -- as far as business-wise. Also, personally with my self, I'm like, 'Yo, I was really crazy!'"

Remy Ma also paid tribute to her husband Papoose for standing by her side all these years. "He's official, he's an official dude. Can't nobody never front on that. He held it down better than some of my best friends that I grew up with and family members," she said.

Shesus Khryst went on to discuss her reconciliation with former Terror Squad member Fat Joe, Nicki Minaj's stardom and what the future holds for Remy Ma. Apparently, she can't even count on one hand the number of crews and labels that have reached out to her, but her upcoming reality show is what she's focused on next.

Whether she can revive her post-prison career remains to be seen (although it's clearly working for Lil Boosie), but there's no denying Remy Ma is the same old girl she was six years ago. Learn a thing or two about this rapper's time behind bars below.
