When rappers use their words to detail the women they desire, it tends to fall on the side of describing physical assets -- curves here and junk in the trunk there. But for Atlanta-bred MC STS -- or Sugar Tongue Slim as he's often called -- he'd rather place his lady love on a pedestal and talk of how she brightens his day. He does just that on 'Hello Sunshine,' a song featured on his full-length debut, 'The Illustrious.'

On the track, produced by Kawaun "KP" Prather and Malai -- the masterminds behind John Legend's 'Green Light' -- the rap star will do anything to be by her side. "Now whether I be a--hole or astronaut, I got to get to where you are/ She the equivalent of two blunts worth in a glass jar," he rhymes.

'Hello Sunshine,' with its sweeping instrumentals, is supported by Shady Records signee Yelawolf, who makes his singing debut on the track, which was inspired by a poem STS wrote about a former flame who was his "star."

STS tapped Catfish Billy's lyrical stylings because of his left-of-center delivery. "I chose Yelawolf for the song because I didn't know Chris Martin," STS jokingly tells The BoomBox. "Nah, I had heard some of Wolf's work before most folks and knew he could pull it off and still give it that edge. It's crazy because he was just gonna do the hook, but became inspired to write and blessed the song with a verse. He took it to another place on his verse, which is what I respect the most and appreciate."

While 'Hello Sunshine' may be a slight departure from his previous work, the track proves STS's versatility on record. "I wanted to drop this song because it's totally different, not only for myself, but for Yela," he explains. "For me, it is the first time I ever expose the world to the straight poetry side of me. For Wolf, it was the first time he sang on a record, which quiet as kept, he's very good at. It's an illustrious song. I hope you all enjoy."
