Rapper J$tash Turns Himself In for Assaulting Girlfriend
Indie rapper J$tash has turned himself in to the NYPD to face serious charges that he allegedly attacked his girlfriend, leaving her unconscious.
The 21-year-old rapper, whose real name is Justin Joseph, reportedly hit his girlfriend, Danielle Phaeton, in the face and body on Sept. 15 in their Bushwick, Brooklyn apartment, reports the NY Daily News. The two were arguing when the rapper hit Phaeton, also referred to as Danii Phae, giving her a black eye and injuring her head, among other injuries.
"A person I thought and believed I could trust, whom I gave my love/time/energy to brutally punched me in my face repeatedly with his fists while I became slowly unconscious covered in blood in his Brooklyn apartment bed," Phaeton wrote on her Tumblr page, along with posting a photo of her black eye. The post has been removed but Bossip features the text as well as the image.
J$tash, who hails from Florida but currently lives in Brooklyn, N.Y., offered his side of the story on his Instagram page, stating, "Never would I promote domestic violence or be apart of such actions." He referred to Phaeton's abuse allegations as "slanderous accusations" and even revealed that he gave her over $30,000 and funded her business.
The 'Nuthin' rapper's attorney, Alex Spiro, confirmed that he would be arraigned today (Oct. 15) or Thursday, but had no further comment on the incident.
