Called by some the greatest rapper from Queens, NY since Nas, rapper Ali Vegas is ready to come into the mainstream with his upcoming album 'Hebrew 12:15.' The record, scheduled for October, will feature production by Kanye West and a guest appearance by Jadakiss, according to the 22-year-old emcee.

AOL Music spoke to Vegas a few weeks ago in L.A., where he appeared at NBA players Baron Davis and Paul Pierce's A Midsummer's Night's Dream Event. The setting was very appropos, as Vegas' close friend -- they call each other cousins -- is Lakers forward Lamar Odom, who runs the Rich Soil Entertainment label that is releasing 'Hebrew 12:15.'

The album's title stems from the tragic death of Odom's seven month-old son on June 29 of this year. "It was named after my little cousin, Lamar Odom's son Jayden," Vegas says. "It's dedicated to him."
