Rap at the Grammy Awards: 10 Hip-Hop Grammys Gone Wrong

Miranda Shen, Archive Photos

Every year we watch the Grammys Awards and root for our favorite artists to win. And even though there are a fair share of Grammys handed out to acts who deserve them, there are also a number of awards that leave us scratching our heads.

Like Sir Mix-A-Lot winning a Grammy for “Baby Got Back.” Or Will Smith’s “Getting Jiggy With It” beating out Lauryn Hill (“Lost Ones”) and Jay-Z’s “Hard Knock Life.”

The list goes on and on. But we’ve done our homework (thanks to the folks at the Grammys, who handed over a list of every hip-hop nominee…ever!), and boiled it down to the essential screw-ups.

Here are 10 Hip-Hop Grammys gone horribly, horribly wrong.
