With hip-hop memoirs becoming big business, Wu-Tang Clan rapper Raekwon has thrown his hat into the ring and announced that he's working on his autobiography.

A master storyteller, Raekwon has long been one of the most respected writers in rap and will follow the lead of other MCs such as Jay-Z, Prodigy, Malice and Q-Tip, that have each either recently published books or have one in progress.

"That's in the making soon," Rae told AllHipHop.com. "I just gotta deal with certain things at certain times in my life. When it's time to happen, yeah I got a great story and I'm going to tell the truth."

In addition to his gritty past hustling in Staten Island project housing, Raekwon also has a veteran career in the music industry to detail. From Wu-Tang's disruptive rise to beefs with iconic rappers like Notorious B.I.G. and a failed deal with Dr. Dre's Aftermath Entertainment, Rae has more than enough insider stories to pack his pages.

As the rapper tells it, the book will succeed if he can accurately tell the journey of becoming a responsible adult. "I ain't perfect," he said. "Nobody's perfect. We all do dumb s--- and get caught up in certain situations. But at the end of the day, I know I became a man."
