R. Kelly has decided that the world doesn't have enough "Trapped in the Closet" in it. His recent announcement of new chapters to follow up the cliffhanger ending to his acclaimed hip-hopera was met with exuberance, and now the singer says he has a book in the works.

Kells told Fast Company's Co.Create that he has so much back story on the characters in his head, he wants to write it down and share it with us mere mortals. After releasing 10 new chapters that streamed over at IFC during Thanksgiving weekend and hinting that the story might actually go into inifinity, the singer is officially putting the story in ink.

"The Trapped in the Closet book you see as an infomercial in the new chapters is a book that's on its way, that I'm writing. I know where Chuck was before he met Rufus. I know what was happening before they actually met. I know what happened with Bridget and the midget and everybody else's situation," Kelly said.

The "I'm a Flirt" singer said he feels like his fans appreciate the series, and has even announced that it might be heading to Broadway. He also emphasizes that the book will include additional information that basically makes it a prequel.

"So I feel like the fans have supported 'Trapped in the Closet,' so I feel like it's time to introduce them to these people before what they saw. It's the prequel meeting the sequel. You'll get to find out a lot of things you don't know, or that you can't know, unless you read the book or unless I tell you -- so I decided to do a book on it."

Having the story of these interconnected characters on a bookshelf will ensure the story takes it's proper place in R&B history, but until then catch all the new chapters streaming on IFC again on Saturday, Dec. 15.
