It's dope when high-art seeps out into the fashion or sneaker world, isn't it?

Sometimes, a designer, sculptor or painter will create something so beautiful it can't be confined to just one form of expression. So instead of the creation being only a painting, statue or design for example, the artist will take that same idea and apply it in different ways.

That's what designer Derek Roberts did when he teamed up with Nike to create the PWM N7 Air Force 1 Highs and the PWM N7 Roshe Runs.

First, Roberts drew inspiration from traditional Native American designs to create the Nike N7 Blanket, along with the clothing and manufacturing company Pendleton Woolen Mills. Then, he took the same pattern of the blanket and applied it to the Air Force 1s and the Roshe Runs.

Fortunately, Roberts uses the intricate designs sparingly throughout the sneakers, so the shapes and patterns don't swallow that classic Nike look that most of us have grown to love.

You'll be able to buy the Pendleton Woolen Mills and Nike Holiday 2013 N7 Collection on Oct. 26, which also includes a graphic tee, a cool looking runner's jacket and the blanket itself.
