Avoiding becoming the most elusive rap album of the year, Pusha T's 'My Name Is My Name' finally has a new release date. Appearing on MTV RapFix Live earlier today, the G.O.O.D. Music MC announced that his debut solo album will now arrive on Oct. 8.

Pusha cited sample clearance issues as the reason for its delay. But it was back in July when he pushed the album from its original date -- July 16 -- back to August because of the rush of major releases, like Kanye West's 'Yeezus' and Jay Z's 'Magna Carta... Holy Grail.'

Whatever the case, Pyrex P still believes 'My Name Is My Name' will be "the best album of the year." With contributions coming from Kendrick Lamar, Big Sean, Pharrell, Rick Ross and Kanye West, who handles the bulk of the production, let's hope he isn't just gassing.
