The Puma Suede has a deep history in sports and activism thanks to Tommie Smith and John Carlos’ black power salute during the '68 Olympics. Next year marks the 50th year since that historic moment, and Puma will be celebrating the sneaker and its legacy.

Their plans to celebrate the silhouette are expansive to say the least. For the Puma Suede’s 50th anniversary, they will partner with icons in music, fashion, street and pop culture to introduce 50 new styles of the sneaker. If that isn’t enough for you, they’ll also be doing re-releases of the original style to go along with the new versions.

It’s a massive celebration and it starts on November 4, 2017 at select Puma retailers.
