To celebrate the release of his two new albums, 'Art Official Age' and 'PlectrumElectrum,' Prince held a Yahoo-sponsored album release party on Tuesday (Sept. 30).

One of the many highlights from the show includes a surprise appearance from Kendrick Lamar. The Purple One brought out the rapper during his performance of 'What's My Name,' from his 1998 'Crystal Ball' box set. Backed by Prince's all-girl band, 3rdEyeGirl, K.Dot rapped a verse from his latest single, 'i.'

Although the clip above is a snippet, you can watch the entire live performance via Yahoo's website.

Hopefully, this show will lead to Kendrick Lamar and Prince collaborating in the studio in the future. The R&B icon has worked with Rita Ora at his Minneapolis studio so we know he likes working with young talent.

You can cop Prince's 'Art Official Age' and 'PlectrumElectrum' albums on iTunes.
