According to PEOPLE, Prince is resting comfortably at his home in Minnasota after receiving medical treatment for the flu at a hospital in Moline, Ill., on Friday (April 15). According to the singer's rep, the Purple One has been battling the flu for a number of weeks. In fact, the singer had to postpone two shows in Atlanta last week because he was ill. We are glad that Prince is well and want to wish him a speedy recovery.

Prince was rushed to a hospital after his plane made an emergency landing in Illinois on Friday (April 15).

Details are scarce, but according to TMZ, the soul icon’s private plane made an unscheduled landing at Quad City International Airport in Moline, Ill., at around 1AM. Prince was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital.

An insider told the gossip website, that the 57-year-old musician is still in the hospital and “not doing well.” However, another source reportedly told TMZ that he was released and is in good health.

There’s no official word on what exactly was Prince's medical emergency. Prior to the incident, the legendary guitarist performed a gig at Atlanta’s Fox Theatre on Thursday night (April 14).

Reps for Prince have not yet addressed the singer's health scare.
