If you're a fan of artists like D'Angelo and Bilal, it's clear where they all draw their biggest influence from: Prince. The inspiration will be even clearer after listening to the Purple One's new song, 'FUNKNROLL.'

The legendary singer-songwriter performed the song on 'Arsenio' earlier this year with his band 3rd Eye Girl -- that version was a bit more mellow. On this new take, Prince ups the funk tenfold, and uses a hip-hop approach, with prominent drums sounds and a head-nodding loop.

"Get it turned up, get it out of control / Come on everybody, lets funk and roll," Prince sings. "Put your phone down, get your party on," he urges.

This particular version of 'FUNKNROLL' will appear on Prince's next album, 'Art Official Age,' which will be available for purchase on Sept. 30. However, you can pre-order the album now. There will be another rendition of the song on 3rd Eye Girl's album, 'Plectrumelectrum,' which will also be released on Sept 30.
