Police raided the Yonkers, New York apartment of rapper Jadakiss and uncovered heroin, marijuana and over $40,000 in cash. Although the rapper was not at the residence and is not wanted by police, two men were apprehended in connection with the 6 pounds of marijuana, 5 grams of heroin and cash seized from the location.

According to Lt. Joseph Monaco the suspects, Alberto Lajara, 25, and Gabriel R. Henriquez, 39, were arrested following an incident Friday. Henriquez lives in the apartment, although it is leased to Jadakiss, born Jason Phillips. "He [Henriquez] stays there," said Monaco. "He had the keys. His passport and all his stuff was in a room there."

Early Friday morning Officers Sean Fogarty and Edward Murphy were driving by the apartment located at 1 Van der Donk St. in Yonkers, when they noticed a car parked on the sidewalk. Upon approaching the vehicle, which was driven by Lajara, officers smelled marijuana and later uncovered a bag containing the drug in the front of the car. Police also questioned Henriquez, who was a passenger in the car and was also in possession of the keys to Jadakiss' apartment. While being questioned, the 39-year-old became nervous and attempted to run from police before being apprehended. After learning that Henriquez was coming from the apartment, authorities obtained a search warrant for the residency, where they found both the drugs and cash.

Both men were taken into custody. Lajara was charged with fifth-degree criminal possession of marijuana and disorderly conduct. Henriquez was slapped with a laundry list of charges including second-degree assault, third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and second-degree obstruction of governmental administration.

Jadakiss has yet to comment on the matter.
