Pitbull, known for getting crunk with rapper/producer Lil Jon, was arrested and booked for driving under the influence in his hometown of Miami, early Friday morning.

The rapper, whose real name is Armando Perez, was caught racing past a marked police car at 3am in his 2007 silver Mercedes-Benz. Perez was stopped by the police and asked to step out of the car, but Miami-Dade County police allege the rapper was less than cooperative. Officer Mark Slimak told the Miami Herald that Perez replied, "This is a big waste of your time papo," when addressed by the police.

The rapper -- who recently told AOL Music that he's gets "inspired because people in Miami like to have a good time" -- is accused of having too good of a time. Perez was booked after refusing to take a breathalyzer, which seemed to be unnecessary considering police claim they could smell alcohol on the rapper's breath.

Pitbull released his fourth album, 'Boatlift,' on November 27.
