Phresher released a new single today (July 10) called "Cookin," a high energy cut, which is the kind of sound we've come to expect from the Brooklyn rapper. On it, he spits about getting money, people being phony and whipping up the white on the stove.

"Cooking, cooking on a pot / I ain't talking tator tots / I ain't f----- with no thots / They only love you when you're hot / Bankroll, big nots / Hit a body for the watch / Apple Sauce got the Motts / Even shooters get shot," he spits.

And later:

"N---- sorry, pick a side / We don't never switch sides / If I want it hurry up and buy / We winning never tied / You tell a bunch of lies / This real sh-- you can't deny / You ain't put in one sweet potato but you want a piece of the pie," he raps.

Meanwhile, Phresher made an appearance at this year's Summer Jam in New York City, along with other young rappers from the five boroughs like Dave East, Young M.A. and Cassanova.

Unfortunately for Phresher, he didn't nab the tenth spot on XXL's 2017 Freshman Class list, voted by the fans. Instead, the honor went to PnB Rock.

As most know, the gruff voiced rhymer's popularity grew with the success of  "Wait a Minute," which was eventually remixed by artists like Royce Da 5'9" and Remy Ma, and this new single could do good things for him as well.
