As election season continues to gain momentum, artists like Pharrell are voicing their opinions on who should be president. For the N.E.R.D. leader, there's one woman he's got in mind for the job in 2016.

"It's Hillary time," he told Ellen DeGeneres on Monday (Oct. 11) during her self-titled talk show. "We need someone who is going to take it seriously. She does have a serious tone, but I feel like when things get done, it's by someone who is being serious about it."

The Neptunes producer also added that he thinks Clinton's gender will give her an added benefit to becoming the commander of the free world. "Women think about things in a holistic way," he said.

This isn't the first time Pharrell has said Hillary is going to win. A year before the former Secretary of State announced her bid for president, the "Happy" singer told GQ that he knows Hillary will succeed and why it'll be important for her to be in office.

"Let me tell you why Hillary's going to win. Everywhere you go in this country, you have red and blue. You got the Democrats; you got the Republicans. You got the Bloods; you got the Crips. Everything is red and blue in this country," he said. "There's gonna be unity. So when you think about a night where there's late-night talk show hosts and it's mostly women, that's a different world. Right? A world where 75 percent of the prime ministers and the presidents were women: That's a different world. That's gonna happen, and it's gonna happen when Hillary wins."

The 42-year-old entertainer isn't the only celeb to back the 2016 hopeful. NBA icon Magic Johnson, Ariana Grande, Ne-Yo, Jennifer Lopez, Snoop Dogg and Waka Flocka Flame are just some of the big names supporting her run for office. Lil B, who's known for his prophetic tweets, has been on the fence. At first, he was sure Clinton would win but most recently he tweeted that "right now it’s all about Bernie," referring to Democratic candidate Bernie Sanders.

The first Democratic presidential debate will air on Tuesday (Oct. 13) at 8:30 p.m. on CNN.
