As his name continues to be a top-trender on Twitter today, Houston rapper Paul Wall may just be stepping back into the spotlight after signing a supposed deal with Lil Wayne's Young Money records. As the Boombox reported last year, Paul was back in the news after losing a dramatic amount of weight -- 100 pounds in fact.

So now that he's a new man, does he have a new record label courting his lethargic and lyrical rhymes? Probably not. According to Global Grind, speculation began this morning (Aug. 18) around Paul's Young Money agreement, but a representative for the label has now told XXL magazine that no such deal exists.

So the be-grilled MC probably won't be spitting alongside Weezy anytime soon. Did you believe all the hype?
