Nivea Arrested for DUI Following Wedding Reception

Singer Nivea was arrested for DUI in Atlanta on Saturday (June 18).

The 29-year-old was taken into custody following the wedding of her friend, Antonia "Toya" Carter, who is the ex-wife of Lil Wayne. Bossip.com is reporting that Nivea crashed her BMW X6 into a tree around 1AM Saturday morning, and had a baby in the car with her. Neither she nor the baby were injured in the crash.

Reports also claim that the mother of four got testy with the arresting officer, apparently being belligerent yelling "B---- I could buy your job h-!" She was carted off to Fulton County correctional facility.

However, in a message posted to her Twitter account Monday (June 20), the singer denies the slander against her arresting officer. "Thank You 2 all that were concerned, I'm doing fine! I NEVER said what ppl r saying I said to/about the cop by the way," she wrote. "And one more thing, I WAS NOT DRINKING AND DRIVING, the accident was Not due to me being intoxicated. Just wanted to clear that."

Nivea and Carter both share children with Wayne, who also has two more children with two other women. The Georgia native was once married to the father of three of her children, Terrius "The-Dream" Nash, whom she split from in 2007. Nash went on to marry actress-singer Christina Milian, but announced their split last summer after reports surfaced that he was unfaithful.

The Georgia native became popular with the release of her 2001 single 'Don't Mess With My Man.'
