Sneaker of The Week – Nike Sportswear Flax Collection

In trying to keep up with sneaker releases and the unending game of 'FIRST!' the internet can easily become an echo chamber of misinformation. Pictures get leaked, nicknames get made up and no matter how heavily you cross reference or fact check you can still miss the mark of credibility. Case in point is this misnomered Nike Air Force 1 Mid 'Wheat' article we posted which actually belongs to the Nike Sportswear Flax Collection and is also our Sneaker of The Week.

The drop is set to feature a Nike Air Force 1 Mid, Nike Air Trainer 1 Mid, and Nike Air Max 1 and each one features a flax flavored suede upper with baroque brown accents tossed in for good measure here and there. After getting an eyeful of all three it's easy to see how the streets would be calling anything out of this set 'wheat' but "If it's on the internet it must be true", isn't always true.

This set looks to release on Nov. 1st, just in time to break out the lumberjacks and hard denim and with a $120-$130 price range Nike has definitely made fresh affordable.
