What do Paul Rodriguez and Michael Jordan have in common? Yes, they are both phenomenal athletes, but the answer lies within Nike's upcoming SB release that uses the elephant print found on Jordan brand's most popular colorways.

The Nike SB Paul Rodriguez 9 "J-Rod" dresses up the skate shoe in a style that is looks like it’s ready to take off from the free throw line and we are absolutely in love. Not only are we treated to elephant print on the upper but it also gets a dimpled mid panel which is yet another nod to Air Jordan.

The only real difference with this model is that you’ll probably want to break these in on a skateboard which means that they will most likely get trashed, which is something no sneakerhead wants to do with a pair of newly bought Air Jordans.

Look for the Nike SB Paul Rodriguez 9 "J-Rod" to release at Nike retailers on Dec. 19.
