Nike SB Dunk Low ‘Dorothy’

Occasionally, a sneaker theme comes along that is so compelling that it is flat out cinematic. Nike offers up a colorful SB Dunk sneaker that perfectly channels one of the lead characters in the classic 1939 film The Wizard of Oz.

The Nike SB Dunk Low "Dorothy" is an obvious nod to the most prominent figure in the children's fairy tale. The shoe boasts a gingham print in its lining with bits of white and red colors as well. The connection gets even deeper when you factor in the gradation that happens from the toe box to heel, which represents the film being colorized over the years. There's also a yellow brick road insole.

These sneakers are set to hit stores sometime in the spring but they are already landing in Japanese retailers like Instant Skateboard. Hopefully, Nike will honored the rest of the Oz characters with colorful kicks as well.
