Two Cincinnati skateshops are doing their city justice by teaming up with Nike to release a pack in honor of the 1990 World Series. The pairs not only highlight the historic game but the climate of the country surrounding the series.

As the story goes, the Cincinnati Reds beat the Oakland A's in a four-game Series' sweep. Cincy skateshops Anonymous and Unheardof took on the task of memorializing the historic moment with two Nike SB Dunk silhouettes.

The Oakland A’s get a green and yellow high-top model while the Cincinnati Reds are given a low cut red-and-grey model with gold trimmings because to the victors go the spoils. The U.S. flag is spotted on each silhouette as well in honor of the Gulf War which was just beginning at the start of the historic game.

Even if you're not a baseball fan, the colors of a local team are the perfect flag to wave as a signifier of hometown pride. The shoes are both sold out at Cincinnati's Unheardof and Anonymous, but don't fret. You have a second chance to cop them at other sneaker retailers including Rock City Kicks beginning Dec 8.
