Nike is releasing the final shoe in the beloved Prelude pack by Los Angeles Laker star Kobe Bryant. The Prelude VIII is a colorful shoe representing the 15-time All-Star champion’s long-road back to the NBA after a near career-ending leg injury.

Unfortunately, Bryant's comeback was short-lived after he broke a bone in his left knee in December. There’s still no word on when he will return to the court.

The Kobe Prelude VIII features the Nike Engineered Mesh, which gives the sneaker its ultra-lightweight feel and mobility. The designers also infused technology into the colorful neon design of the sneaker. There’s also a special mirror on the back of the heel to represent "reflection" of Bryant’s previous season.

According to the Bryant, last season was full of trials and tribulations. The 35-year-old b-baller said he spent a lot of time reflecting on "where he is, where he has been, and where he can take himself."

Well, the Lakers star is certainly doing a lot of reflection now that he's been sitting on the bench with nagging leg injury for the past month.

The Kobe Prelude VIII will arrive at retail stores and at Nike.com on Jan. 25. Check out the sneaker below.
