In December 2008, Nike designer Eric Avar created the KOBE IV, a lightweight, low cut shoe that surprised many who looked to the hi-top structure on the basketball court. But as Kobe Bryant showed off his skills as he glided up and down his 94-foot wooden stage and took home the 2009 Finals MVP title, the shock of the new shoe design wore off and many began to follow suit. Now, five years later, Avar is introducing the KOBE Prelude IV.Looking to bring the stories behind the NBA star's shoes, Nike and Avar are presenting the KOBE Prelude Pack, which will highlight all eight of Kobe's signature shoes, and share the momentous stories behind them.

With a limited number of each shoe available, the sought after KOBEs are delivered in a purple and gold colorway with abstract impressionism art featured on each shoe. The SWOOSH comes in a gold accent that highlights the split purple and lavender midsole.

The KOBE Prelude Pack will be available this Saturday (Dec. 28) to consumers in North America, Greater China and Western Europe online at Nike.com, and select retailers in North America and Greater China.
