The new year is looking great for the Kobe 9 Low EM model. The upcoming 'Silk' colorway serves as the perfect bookend for Nike's ninth Kobe series as well as a promising look at things to come for the silhouette.

Inspired by the Lakers star's predominance in the Asian market, the shoe boasts a flyknit upper in an interesting color known as villain red but it resembles purple in our eyes. The intricate patterns is another highlight of the sneaker, which are inspired by Dunhuang murals.

Finally, the gold accents gives the sneaker its majestic feel while the crimson midsole and white outsole completes the shoe.
