The Nike Air Huarache had a pretty big year but that hasn’t stopped Nike from evolving the model into an even higher form. They’ve added an Ultra to the sneaker’s name and along with the new moniker comes a few upgrades and simplifications as well.

The minimalist model is scaled down even further as the Nike Air Huarache "Ultra" comes in a full mesh forefoot, a Flywire lacing system and a rubberized toebox. The sneaker hasn’t shrugged off any signs of it’s prior form, however, as the foot stabilizing heel counter is still there as well as the general shape of the outsole. This version of the silhouette has retained it’s history while still reaching for the future in a very fluid way.

The Nike Air Huarache "Ultra" is for ladies only (sorry fellas!), but hopefully they’ll drop a capsule for men soon. You’ll be able to grab a pair on Dec. 26th at select retailers including U.K.'s Size? in both pink and black colorways.
