There is a time and place for unbiased coverage of sneaker news where its purely about informing consumers and product awareness. This ain’t that. Sneaker of the Week is the one time where we let our unabashed love and adulation for a model assert its greatness over all other models that we’ve seen in the past seven days. This week, the iconic Nike Air Flight 89 is being placed on that pedestal with a little help of an even more iconic colorway.

The Nike Air Flight 89 is famous for borrowing elements of the Air Jordan 4’s build and this time around, it goes even further by adapting the model's color scheme. For the BRED version of the shoe, we're treated to a black leather upper with gray and red in all the right places to fully cement the look. The granite midsole deviates from the theme a bit but adds to the appeal nonetheless and can almost be seen as a nod to the white Jordan 4.

This is certainly one of the more memorable moments in the history of the Nike Air Flight 89. Dare we say best moment? Yes, it’s that serious folks. Look out for this BRED-colored wonder to release later this year.
