Nicki Minaj’s brother will have to make a tough decision in the coming weeks. The DNA of Jelani Maraj did match the semen found on the teen rape accuser’s clothes according to prosecutors in Maraj's ongoing rape case.

“A DNA profile, a partial profile matching the defendant or consistent with the defendant, your honor, to the point in the hundreds of billionths of chance of it being any other individual, was discovered in the...pants of the complainant in this case, and also tested positive indicating the presence of semen,” said Anthony Pirri, the Assistant District Attorney, during a hearing in New York on Tuesday (July 26).

As we previously reported, Nicki Minaj‘s brother, Jelani Maraj, was indicted on charges of allegedly raping a 12-year-old girl. The alleged victim told cops that Maraj raped and sodomized her from April through November 30, 2015 and allegedly raped her the day before his arrest.

According to Bossip, prosecutors did offered Maraj a deal of 15 years to life for an “A-II” felony of “predatory sexual assault of a child.” The case is still scheduled to go to trial in November, but both parties are discussing a plea deal before that happens.

Initially, before Maraj was indicted, the DA offered him a deal of seven years in exchange for a guilty plea to “course of sexual conduct against a child in the first degree” but he rejected it.

Jelani Maraj, who maintains his innocence in the case, will have to appear at another hearing in August.
