After being indicted on sexual assault charges against a child under age 13, Nicki Minaj's brother, Jelani Maraj, and his legal team are finally speaking out.

According to Bossip, Maraj is claiming that the 12-year-old accuser was having sex with an older man, but it wasn't him.

Maraj's attorneys, Benjamin Brafman and Andrea Zellan, penned a letter to the Nassau County District Attorney’s Office stating they had reason to believe that the alleged accuser was involved with another of-age male.

“Our firm has a good faith basis to believe that the complainant in this case has had intimate physical contact with a man who is not the defendant in this case and who is older than 17 years of age and who may have caused there to be physical evidence of repeated vaginal and anal penetration of the complainant,” reads the letter.

In addition to the missive, Maraj's attorneys are requesting all evidence including "emails, cell phone records, texts, social media records and any other evidence that showed her communicating with or meeting up with older men." Brafman and Zellan have also requested that the DA turn over any "statements that the alleged victim, witnesses or anyone else made that corroborated their claim that the accuser had sex with someone else other than Maraj."

Maraj's current charges peg the 37-year-old for sodomizing and raping the 12 year old victim at least twice over a seven month period. Until Jelani can clear his name, he faces 15 years to life in prison for his alleged crimes.
