Nicki Minaj is expanding her acting resume with her new role in the New Line Cinema/MGM flick, Barbershop 3. The movie is the latest installment in the popular franchise starring Ice Cube.

According to Variety, Minaj will play Draya, a sassy new hairdresser at the beauty shop.

The Queen Barbz is the latest addition to the cast, which also includes Cedric the Entertainer, Regina Hall, Eve, Anthony Anderson, Common and of course, Cube. Director Malcolm D. Lee, who directed the popular Best Man flicks, is helming Barbershop 3 from a script penned by Kenya Barris and Tracy Oliver.

There’s no word on the film’s plot, but given Minaj’s history of creative hairstyles and split personalities, her character will fit right in with the motley crew of hair stylists.
