Nicki Minaj blasted Kanye West for his alleged racial bias towards women. In the November 2016 issue of Marie Claire magazine, Minaj called out Yeezy for lyrics in his Grammy-winning hit, “Gold Digger"— in particular, the line in which he says a man leaves his old girlfriend for a white woman once he becomes rich.

“I’m so tired of black women feeling that when our men get rich, they’re going to leave them for a woman of a different race," she tells the publicaton. "It wasn’t funny when Kanye said it [on ‘Gold Digger’]— ‘When he get on, he’ll leave your ass for a white girl’ – and Kanye happens to be with a white girl now. It wasn’t funny when he said it; it was the f----ing truth.”

Minaj then pointed out a similar double standard when it comes to women of color who choose to pose in semi-nude attire and post the photos on social media.

“When Kim Kardashian’s naked picture came out, [Sharon Osbourne] praised it, and my fans attacked her for being such a hypocrite,” she said. “So it wasn’t trashy and raunchy when a white woman did it, but it was when a black woman did it? It’s quite pathetic and sad, but that is my reality, and I’ve gotten accustomed to just shutting it down.”

In the same interview Minaj said that he idolizes Jay Z's success and wants to follow in his footsteps.

“I can look at someone’s career and just pinpoint the do’s and the don't’s, and the one person I’ve done that with for my entire career was Jay Z," she said. "He did such a great job being an authentic street guy and a businessman. I felt like anything he could do, I could do.”
