Looks like Nicki Minaj's stint as a judge on "American Idol" will be short-lived.

The wig-wearing emcee is set to make an exit from the singing competition after Season 12 ends tonight, according to Us Weekly.

A source reveals that Minaj is comfortable with the decision to leave. "It's safe to say she isn't coming back to 'Idol,'" the insider tells Us. Apparently the rapper has her hands full with her new album, performances and endorsement deals. "She's okay with it. She had a great time but was only going to do one season anyway."

This news comes shortly after "Idol" judge Randy Jackson confirmed this season would be his last at the judges' table.

Minaj joined the TV show earlier this year and showcased her bold personality for the cameras when critiquing contestants. She also never shied away from verbal catfights with fellow judge Mariah Carey, which became tabloid fodder. These televised spats were rumored to increase ratings and fans seemed to ultimately take sides in the Team Mariah and Team Nicki war.

While the Young Money star has yet to confirm her departure from the show, a source even told Perez Hilton that the likelihood of her staying on for Season 13 is slim. "The chances of Nicki returning to the show next season are slim to none, she is such a major headache with her behavior and it's really taxing on many people with the crew," said an unnamed source. "So her behavior is wearing thin on many people this season."

Only time will tell.
