Nicki Minaj Scores Best Hip-Hop Video at 2011 MTV VMAs

Nicki Minaj showed up and showed out at the 2011 MTV VMAs, where she scored the award for Best Hip-Hop Video.

Despite stiff competition from her fellow nominees –Lil Wayne featuring Cory Gunz€‹ with ’6 Foot 7 Foot,’ Kanye West featuring Rihanna and Kid Cudi’s ‘All of the Lights,’ Chris Brown with Lil Wayne and Busta Rhymes for ‘Look at Me Now’ and Lupe Fiasco’s ‘The Show Goes On’ — the blonde wig-wearing MC took home the Moonman.

During her quick acceptance speech, which showcased her raver-esque wardrobe, the rapping pop star thanked her boss, Young Money head honcho Lil Wayne, and her Barbs, of course.
