Nicki Minaj’s coy remarks on the Ellen Show regarding her relationship status had people wondering if she was single or not. Not to mention gossip bloggers thinking the Queens N.Y. native slighted her boyfriend Meek Mill during the interview. On Thursday (April 7), Minaj went on her Instagram account to set the record straight - with her fans - on her relationship status.

Minaj shared a photo of herself and the Philly rhymer looking very cozy together. “It would be very remiss of you to not watch what I said about Valentines Day prior to writing or believing a headline about my comment,” she wrote in the caption. “I'm not single. Thank you for coming out. Have a blessed day and get some D.”

As we previously reported, Minaj told Ellen Degeneres that she’d rather say, "I’m single," than have the media pry into her relationship with Meek.

“I don’t really care to say I’m in a relationship, or I’m engaged or whatever...There’s a boy that likes me, that’s all,” she said.

This cause several gossip blogs to run stories of Minaj not claiming her boo on national TV. While most news websites - like The BoomBox - offered context to the quote and confirmed that the Queen Barbz was still dating Meek, other gossip sites went for the clickbait approach and created sensational headlines for views.

Minaj also posted several Twitter screenshots on her Instagram page of comments from fans who understood that the 33-year-old rapper is not single and was only protecting her privacy. Read some of them below.
