Over the weekend, Minaj and Samuels seemingly traded sentimental tweets noting the passing of what would've been their 11-year anniversary. Bitchie saw the tweets and made a blog entry titled, "Nicki Minaj and Safaree Profess Their Love For One Another On 11th Anniversary." According to Minaj, that headline isn't quite accurate.

What followed was a series of tweets that may come off as passive aggressive to some, especially with the odd mix of serious cross-checking and emojis. Minaj particularly didn't take too kindly to Bitchie's defense that screenshots validated her story.

The situation never got too out of hand, though. The two sides had other matters to attend to, and the back and forth calmed down.

Minaj has been posting Instagram photos of herself cuddled up with the Philly native. Although this seemingly confirms their romance, neither has verbally confirmed they are an item.
